This year, we’re celebrating Garden Day by creating a magical herb and veggie garden. This new green space will provide fresh, healthy food for the children and offer a peaceful place to relax and learn. Join us for the Garden Day celebration on Sunday 20 October 2024, where we’ll unveil our new garden and offer some fun workshops and activities for the whole family:

• Flower Crown Making: Create your own beautiful flower crown and wear it proudly as we celebrate Garden Day! All materials provided, just bring your creativity.

• Delicious Treats: To add to the fun, we’ll have a popcorn machine, candy floss machine, and slush machine on-site. You can buy these tasty treats to support Marang House.

In celebration of Garden Day, join Akanaka Blooms, Wildly Sown and Naledi Farm in creating your own floral centrepiece in a beautiful country setting. You will be guided through the process of creating a floral centrepiece using naturalistic design and foam-free mechanics. Included are seasonal flowers and foliage grown on their farms for use in your design, a vase with foam-free mechanics, and a nourishing farm-to-table light lunch and refreshments.

We are very excited to collaborate with My Eco Spout in presenting this course to teach kids about gardening, the benefits of gardening and how to plant from seeds. Join in for a morning of pottering fun! Mamma’s Plants is hosting an online workshop where you’ll chat all things plants and do some repotting together. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and connect with others in the plant community. Each ticket includes a Garden Day goodie box containing potting mix, garden gloves, a potting scoop, 2 decorative pots, a watering spike, and a couple more surprises. The box will be shipped to your door before the event. Ticket sales are open until the end of September.

Come take a walk around the Femme Pétale flower farm, enjoy a glass of Saronsberg bubbles or wine, have a snack, and plant your very own summer flowers. The seeds you’ll be planting are some of their favourite summer flowers and are also available for you to take home and plant in your own garden. There will be small eats, something to drink and all of their products will be available to purchase.
